Abstract:

Social media presents a new chance to answer old questions from the social sciences. Recently, we've seen a lot of great work in this area. In this talk, I'll present some of my own and others' work answering social science questions using social media. I'll conclude the talk by discussing our new DARPA on modeling influence and deception via social media.
